Zaventem

Aviapartner, one of Europe’s leading ground handlers, is pleased to announce that it has been granted licenses to operate handling services at 7 Spanish airports by AENA, Spain’s airports operator.

Aviapartner will hold 7 year licenses in Malaga (AGP), Sevilla (SVQ) and Girona (GRO), as well as in Tenerife Sur (TFS), Lanzarote (ACE), Fuerteventura (FUE) in the Canary Islands, and Menorca (MAH) in the Balearic Islands. Those 7 airports represent a market of 42 million passengers per year.

Laurent Levaux, Aviapartner President and CEO: “We are honoured that AENA granted us licenses to operate in 7 Spanish airports. Aviapartner’s continued commitment to delivering high quality full handling at competitive rates to its airline customers and their passengers has again been recognized and rewarded. These 7 new stations complement nicely the Group’s well-established network of 31 airports in France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium, and will allow us to serve our customers in their Spanish developments.”

A dedicated multi-disciplinary Aviapartner team is already working with airlines, AENA, unions, staff representatives and all other parties involved to ensure a smooth transition of services in the 7 airports, which is likely to take place in September.
