AVIAPARTNER WINS LIEGE AIRPORT LICENCE
Aviapartner was recently awarded a four-year licence for ramp handling as well as baggage, cargo and mail handling by the airport of LIEGE.Aviapartner’s licence in Liège was renewed after a tender process and is valid until June 2006. Aviapartner has been providing aircraft handling services at Liège Airport since 1965.Aviapartner Liège serves today mainly the charter segment. Customers like the Belgian charter airlines Thomas Cook Airlines and Sobelair have the highest number of flights, followed by the Spanish charters Hola Airlines, Futura, Iberworld and Spanair. Other regular charter airlines handled by Aviapartner Liège include Nouvelair Tunisie, Pegasus, Tunisair, Air Via Bulgarian and Virgin Express.Services provided to these airlines include passenger services (ticketing, check-in, boarding assistance and lost & found) and aircraft handling (loading and unloading of baggage, cargo and mail, stairs, cleaning, water & toilet services, ground power, pushback and towing) as well as operations (weight & balance, load-sheet).Liège is one of the four Belgian airports where Aviapartner provides handling services, alongside Brussels, Ostend and Antwerp, and one of the 32 airports where Aviapartner is active in Europe
