THREE MORE AVIAPARTNER STATIONS ON the ISAGO registrY.

Brussels, June 17th, 2010 - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) awarded Aviapartner the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification for Brussels, Dusseldorf and Munich following the successful completion of comprehensive audits.

Aviapartner was the first large multi-station European ground handler to obtain the ISAGO certification in January 2010 with Amsterdam in January 2010, followed by Frankfurt in March. Now  Brussels, Dusseldorf and Munich are added to the list. This way Aviapartner is the first handler to obtain this certification in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

  • ISAGO is a standardized audit program for Ground Service Providers (GSP) modeled on the success of  IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit). It uses internationally recognized ground operational standards and recommended practices. The audit is conducted by highly trained and experienced auditors from airlines.
  • ISAGO provides GSPs with a model for operational risk & safety management in their organizations. It includes a system for registration and sharing of audit results.

ISAGO offers benefits to airlines, regulatory authorities as well as airport authorities. Among them :

  • safer ground operations leading to  fewer damage and injuries,
  • reduced costs through the elimination of redundant audits, a uniform audit process and harmonized auditor training and qualifications and
  • improved quality through harmonized standards, improved safety oversight and enhanced understanding of high-risk areas within ground operations.

Aviapartner is gradually registering all the stations in its European network. Milan, Malpensa, Nice and Lyon will be the following Aviapartner stations on the ISAGO Registry as the audits and action plans for these stations have already been completed successfully
