New shareholders for E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH

Dahlem/Hamburg, 31 October 2011 - E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH, the Aircraft Interior and Services company based in Dahlem/Eifel, has a new owner. 

Effective 31 October 2011, current shareholder Aviapartner GmbH has transferred all shares in E.I.S. to a group of investors around a Hamburg-based family-owned shipping company. The financial conditions of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dr. Florian Cramer was nominated Director on behalf of the new owner. He will continue to lead the company together with the present Managing Director Peter Bluth.

The new owner is specialised in leading and developing medium-sized companies and guide them towards balanced growth. In order to secure stability and long-lasting and sustainable success for E.I.S Aircraft, the main focus will be placed in expanding existing business areas, promoting entrepreneurial independence and strengthening its competitiveness in the market.

"I am delighted to have found partners who are fully committed to our strategic goals - for the benefit of our employees and our customers, and of the entire company", says Peter Bluth at the closing date. Dr. Cramer, as representative of the new owner and in his function as future co-director, emphasized his contentment with the result of the negotiations: " From my experiences during the course of the transaction, I can already say that I look very much forward to our future co-operation."

Aviapartner, the airport ground Handler with headquarters at Brussels Airport, will continue its European development on its core groundhandling activities. Kris Geysels, CFO and Deputy CEO of Aviapartner Holding, explains: "This transaction gives E.I.S. the chance to design its future more actively. We are convinced it will strenghten its market position and become a more successful European group in the future."

E.I.S. Aircraft GmbH, with its main business areas of Engineering & Production, commercial Aircraft Maintenance and Defense Services, has specialized in the particular design, production and certification requirements of the aviation industry. Airlines, OEMs and suppliers are among the international range of customers. In 2010, more than 200 staff at eight German locations generated a turnover of 18.2 Mio Euro. The company is currently preparing for an addition of activities in its product and services portfolio and the further expansion of its branch network within Germany.
