Aviapartner enters Palermo Airport in Sicily

AVIAPARTNER continues to expand its footprint in Continental Europe where it already is market leader for Ground Handling of Passengers Aircrafts.

As from January 1, 2011, AVIAPARTNER acquired PAE-MAS, the leading independent Ground Handler of Palermo Airport.

PAE-MAS, a family owned company, was created in 2003. It employs 70 people and achieved a turnover of ~5 Mio € in 2009. Among others, PAE-MAS (now AVIAPARTNER Palermo) serves well-known airlines such as Easyjet and Meridiana.

Thanks to this new entry in Palermo, AVIAPARTNER is now present at 6 airports in Italy: Milano-Linate, Milano-Malpensa, Palermo, Rome-Fiumicino, Torino and Venice. AVIAPARTNER is the largest Ground Handler of the Italian peninsula.

AVIAPARTNER considers further expansion on short and medium term in Italy, where it employs more than 1.100 highly skilled and trained people and achieves a turnover of ~55Mio €.

AVIAPARTNER provides Airport Ground Handling Services in 5 European countries and is leader in Ground Handling services for passengers & cargo in Continental Europe.

The Group employs ~ 6.000 people, realises a consolidated turnover of more than 350 Mio € and operates in 25 Passengers and 11 Cargo Airport premises.
